KeyMaestro Input Device Driver
Congratulations on your purchase of this Multimedia keyboard. This keyboard contains a power management key and Multimedia keys. In order to use these keys under Microsoft® Windows® 98, it is necessary to have "KeyMaestro Input Device Driver" installed.

Microsoft® Windows® 98, Windows® ME, Windows® 2000 or Windows® XP operating system
Standard sound card (for CD and Video operation)
The system supporting ACPI or APM II (for power management buttons)
ATX mother board and ATX power supply (for power management buttons)
Available PS/2 port or USB port
USB Device Driver (For USB Model)
The USB device driver is included in Windows operating system.
During initial installation of the USB mouse, the system will automatically detect a new hardware being added, and then bring up "Add New Hardware Wizard" dialogue box. Please follow the Wizard's USB driver installation steps. Once this installation step is completed the basic functions of the mouse will work under the operating system. The additional functions are provided after the application is installed.
KeyMaestro Input Device Driver (for Windows® 98)
Double click on the "Setupkey.exe".
Follow the on-screen instruction to install the driver.
The default installation path is set to c:\ Program Files\ KMaestro. You have the option to change the install path during setup.
The driver icon
will show on the Windows system tray when the driver is loaded.
Please note that you have to uninstall the driver first if you want to re-install the driver.
Right-click the KeyMaestro driver icon
on the task bar and select "Exit" command to exit the
driver program.
Click "Start" menu (on the left-bottom of the taskbar).
Move cursor to "Programs" in "Start" menu.
Move cursor again to "KeyMaestro".
Select "Uninstallation".
Click "Yes" to confirm you want to uninstall.
Besides the usual keys, this keyboard also has extra-dedicated keys, which provide multimedia and sleep functions.
In order to use these keys under Microsoft® Windows® 98, it is necessary to have "KeyMaestro Input Device Driver" installed.
ACPI Key
Your keyboard has the power management “Sleep” key. It also can be called ACPI (Advanced Configuration and Power Interface) key.
As this key is performed not completely under Microsoft® Windows® 98, the KeyMaestro driver provides an option to enable this key. When the option is enabled, the driver will take Windows' place to process this key.

Sleep |
puts your system into sleep (power-saving) mode. Any key will wake up your system and return to the previous working status. |
Multimedia Keys Block:
There is a row of multimedia keys on the top of the keyboard. The functions are described as below:

Volume up |
adjusts the volume up. Note: This key can’t be reprogrammable. |

Mute |
mutes or resume sound

If
you click on the KeyMaestro icon
on the taskbar, a menu will pop up with the
following commands.
Configure
Click
on this command, a customization dialogue box will pop up with following
functions.
*Select A HotKey
This function contains the default function of a key.
Enable
Display Label
This
command is to show or hide OSD (On Screen Display). When OSD is enabled,
each time you press any one of the multimedia buttons, its function name
(button label) will show on the right-bottom corner on the screen. The
default of this function is enabled.
Enable
Taskbar Icon
This
command is to show or hide taskbar driver icon. When the function is
enabled, you can see a driver icon
its function name (button label) will show on
the right-bottom corner of the screen. If you want to reload it again, you
can select Start => Program => Configure to launch it. The default of
this function is enabled.
Exit
Select
this command to exit from this driver program, but not to remove
(uninstall). After you restart your system, the driver will be loaded again.
In
case you have some troubles on installing other programs, we recommend you
to exit this Input Device Driver firstly in order to have a cleaner system
environment.
